Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) became the third-youngest person (at 20 years-old) to win the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament on Sunday, holding off four-time Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic (Serbia) to his second Grand Slam (after US Open 2022). After winning the first set, 6-1, Djokovic lost to Alcaraz in an intense tiebreaker in Set 2, with Alcaraz winning 7(8) to 6(6). Then, in Set 3, Alcaraz crushed his opponent, 6-1, but Djokovic defeated him (6-3) in the fourth set. Finally, it all came down to the last set, where Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic, 6-4. Congratulations to Alcaraz fans!
On another note, the death toll in South Korea's deadly flooding has risen to 40, with cars being submerged in floodwaters and roads being completely washed away. President Yoon Suk Yeol has visited the affected areas to assess the situation and send extra rescue efforts, which are kicking into high gear. More rain is on the way, however, and landslides are being fueled by the heavy rain.
